R. Dale Dowell graduated from the University of North Texas where he majored in Accounting and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After working as an external auditor for a couple of years for Arthur Anderson and Company, a “Big 8” public accounting firm, and approximately sixteen years at the corporate headquarters of Dresser Industries and Halliburton, the world’s 2nd largest oilfield service company, in February 1999, he started a private practice offering accounting, audit, tax and consulting services for small and medium size “for-profit” and non-profit business and organizations.

In January 2007, Mr. Dowell scaled back his private practice and entered the Texas charter school industry as the chief financial officer of a Dallas charter school, where, during his tenure, revenues and enrollment tripled to approximately $12,000,000 and 1,200 students, respectively. Mr. Dowell also led the organization in and out of $3,300,000 in new market tax credit financing and $9,460,000 in an education revenue bond issuance, as well as other smaller short and long term debt and capital lease obligations. Relatedly, he led the organization in the acquisition, construction and/or renovation of over 130,000 sq. ft. of educational, athletic, retail and administration headquarters facilities.
